Three Year Degree Programme

Scheme of Studies

The Three Year Course offered by the college in the Arts stream leading to the B.A degree is affiliated to the Assam University, Silchar. The college is governed by the Statutes, Rules and Regulations of the university. The B.A. programme is split into six semester examinations.

Eligibility for Admissions

The candidates seeking admission to the 1st semester classes of the degree programme should have cleared the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination under AHSEC or any equivalent examination conducted by a recognized Board/Council in the same year.As per Govt. rules seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC. Otherwise, merit is the only criterion for admission. Students have to Comply with all the norms as set by the College Admission Committee.

Number of seats

The number of seats available in the 1st semester of the degree programme is 150 per section only.

Bachelor of Arts/Pass Course (Subjects on offer)

Core Subjects: English, MIL (Bengali/Manipuri/Hindi/Alt. English). Foundation Course in Environmental Studies.

Elective Subjects: Economics/Political Science/History/Philosophy/ Elective Bengali/Elective Hindi/Elective Manipuri.

Internal Discipline

In the interest for conducive academic environment, the college seeks to maintain a high standard of internal discipline for the students. The students are to adhere to the following guidelines:

  • (i) Ragging in all form is banned in the college
  • (ii) No student will be allowed to enter the college campus without Uniform and Identity Card
  • (iii) Irregularity in classes is viewed seriously by the College authorities. Students must appear in the Unit Test Examination without fail
  • (iv) It is the duty of students to keep the College building and furniture clean and intact
  • (v) Students should abide by the rules and regulations set by the College from time to time

  • 1. Girls: Kameez (light Yellow) Salwar and Dupatta (Ashs)
  • 2. Boys: Shirt (Light Yellow) Pants (Ashs)

Computer Education

Present world is the world of technology. Today, education devoid of computer is inadequate. Therefore students are encouraged to enroll themselves to the various courses.
